Often I was called on to take much longer trailers and cut them down into ads suitable for air on US and European television. Brink’s 3 minute long cinematic trailer by Blur was no exception. I used the original Brink teaser trailer VO as the setup for the action, and worked in an accolade quote as well. I also designed the end slate, eschewing the typical black background for Brink’s distinctive bright blue color scheme. Finally, I used the original trailers’ split audio to cut up and re-mix both the musical cues and sound effects to suit the new cut.
